Personal Planning


Here are five tips to improve your personal planning

  1. Plan your activities in line with your objectives.  Is the amount of time spent on you top 5 activities in line with delivery of your top 5 objectives?
  2. Identify your priorities.  List them.  Stick to them.
  3. Make appointments with yourself in your diary-this is the personal time you must have during the day for thinking/planning.  Stick to your thinking time plan-make it and start to implement it now.
  4. Select your personal “best time of day” to get things done, and plan to do your most important work then.  Allocate worst time of day to trivia.
  5. Estimate the end time for a task, not just the starting time – stick to your deadlines.  Deadlines make you productive.
