Improving Employee Job Satisfaction

Improve your people’s job satisfaction...

 

Just as there is a performance management process, so there is a satisfaction management process.  Outlined below is a four step process.  A genuine desire to help individuals increase their level of job satisfaction needs to exist on the manager’s part.

  1. Assist job holder to identify their personal job satisfaction criteria – what causes them to give of their best?
  2. Discuss current level of job satisfaction and reasons for it – what could be changed to increase job satisfaction?
  3. Examine possible ways of improving and maintaining job satisfaction by looking at possible changes.
  4. Agree specific actions to be taken by the manager and individual in order to enhance job satisfaction by making agreed changes.
